Reed spent his childhood in Taiwan and moved to the United States in 2005 to attend school. He graduated from Iowa State University in 2014 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts with a focus on silversmithing.
Growing up in Taiwan, Reed experienced a mix of Chinese and Japanese cultural influences on his art, including history and mythological stories. During this time, Reed attended crafting and illustration classes after school as a way to focus these artistic interests. As a way to identify with his Asian and European heritage, Reed has experimented with combining these cultural influences into his personal story using his art.
Reed has been apprenticing at Inkblot Studio since August of 2016 and will begin tattooing toward the end of this summer, 2018. We will be announcing any special opportunities to get discounted work so please like us on Facebook.
